:flagus: A voting stamp was originally here to encourage people to vote in the 2008 US presidential election. The votes have been counted, and we have learned that the 44th president of the United States of America will be Barack Obama. Because of this, I decided to toss out the election stamp and replaced it with this one on 11/20/08.

The symbol was the logo that President-elect Obama used in his campaign against his opponent, Senator John McCain, though he seems to have discontinued its use: [link]

The election was historic because he will be the first African-American president of the USA. Obama will be inaugurated on the 21st of Janurary 2009.

There's a free-use icon with the above symbol here: [link] Feel free to use either graphic anywhere you like.

everyone make a huge deal about the color of his skin

what does it really matter?

does it make him a better leader?

does it make him smarter?

does it make him more deserving of the seat in the white house?

no it does not. not at all. he is a person. skin color shouldn't matter. not in these times where we have equal rights
