Too bad doctors make millions off treatments. Imagine how much money they would lose if someone actually found a cure!

Much love for supporting a worthy cause. I'm kind of stupid when it comes to stamps since I just got a paid account. Is there an easy way to add this to ones journal? I see those neat looking things on the side of some peoples journals but don't know how to do it. :[

If your implying some sort of conspiracy that doctors are withholding a treatment that is silly. and if you knew any doctors that are working on it you would change your mind. Conspiracies are usually silly things to believe in.

A conspiracy? No, just a business at work.
Really, let's look at the facts; it's illegal in the United States to sell oranges as a cure for hepatitis C. And how many cures for cancer have you read in the newspaper every year? I read about three every one. And where do they disappear to? There's no money to be making out of them, therefore no one funds it. Even in the best news articles to the cures it mentions "well, it's just that there's no profit to be making out of it so it'll be short of funds." Really, if doctors make millions of treatments, why look for a cure? You're not thinking realistically enough.
Business is business, and business is about making money. The End.

Hi! :) I'm glad you like it! This is what you need to put in your journal for this to show up there:

:thumb77803964:

Add that exactly as it is, and it should show up in your journal.

These people spend their lives studying so they can help save people-- I'm sorry you have such a shallow view of them. I'd like you to sit down with one of these doctors looking for a cure and tell me that they are not really looking. To think its a business is sick and I'm truly sad you feel that way and have such a twisted view of these people that are working to SAVE YOUR LIFE friend. There are many forms of cancer not just one magical formula that cures them, if you had any sense you would realize that. To think every doctor out there (and I'm sure some are out just for the money no denying it) is looking for money and not saving peoples lives well, I'm not sure what to say. Its foolish to think that and arrogant.

I'm sorry you have a very unrealistic way of how things work. Money makes the world go around, money goes before saving people. Else we would have invaded Sudan to stop the Darfurian genocide instead of Iraq. It is always about the money, if it's not part of the intentions, it's part of the direction the intentions go to.
If it weren't a business, people wouldn't be charging for this medicine, and AIDS wouldn't be a problem in Africa. It is. If it weren't so bent on money, being a doctor wouldn't be such a well-paid profession, but hey, look at how much they earn; a lot of money!!
They sell medicine. They make a lot of money. They are a business. Treatments make money. Cures don't. It doesn't take a genius to connect the dots.
I'm pretty sure that there are 15 technically proven cures for cancer. I told you, I hear it all the time. I'm not saying they are a magical formula, but they are cures. But guess what? No one knows about them and they just disappear... Hmmm.

I'm not saying that all doctors are just money-grubbers, and I'm sure that there are some with good intentions, quite very so and it'd be stupid for me to think otherwise. I just think that they will be underfunded and oppressed in the name of big business. After all, medicine is big business and you cannot deny that. The problem you awareness people face is not finding a cure, it's actually applying it to society without being chased out of the country because I've heard that happen to two doctors already.

Really, I support the cure for cancer and all - throat cancer runs in both sides of my family and I do already have throat problems myself which scares me - but I don't think it's going to be half as easy as just finding a cure; that's just the tip of the iceberg!!
